Skylight is a small, fast-playing map. I originally intended for it to be part of a larger map pack, but I lost interest in the middle of making map number four. Skylight is very simple. Each team has a base and a flag stand. The base is underground, located on a hill behind the flag stand. It contains four inventory stations. There are no generators, and there’s a repair pack in the middle of the base, which can be used to quickly repair a station and go.

The flag is out in the open, and is protected by an elf turret. Cappers can swoop in from just about any angle and grab it, but unless the turret is down, they won’t go far. The play area is mostly smooth rolling hills, and is enclosed on all sides by a mountain range.

This map features new shapes and a new skybox. I didn’t do any LODs for the bases, so performance may be a problem on low-end machines.

Nice... I've always liked the idea of an underground base when I ponder ideas for maps that I'll likely never get the time to make (darn college...) The one thing that I've always worried about with underground bases is that some of them are easily rape-able, but it looks like you countered that problem by placing the stations behind the wall that juts out for the chute that leads down. I also like that 'glassy' look on the skylights that you did. Very nice touch as opposed to an open air one or just FFs.

This map looks awesome. The flag stand is the best I've seen to date. My only concern is that you can spam all 4 inventories at once.
