Siege Other Foggy Client Side Custom Textures Custom Shapes Night
While I was off working on possible BOT support for Compromise Line I could not help to notice that these suspension bridges I created could possibly be the center of a good Siege map. So, here is the first of a series of maps I plan to make centered around these bridges. The bridge in this map has been modified, extreme from its original look in Compromise Line. I have added a lower walkway that leads to a room in the center of the bridge. There are also two bridge houses at each end now with a few rooms to wonder around in. You will also see two new interiors, drop ships. Fully operational bases, one of which creates land vehicles and the other air vehicles. I would like to give thanks to Sparky for creating a great user-friendly teleport script. I highly recommend it to all mappers planning to use teleports in their maps. Tokrz has modified the sky from the original Dynamix final map pack, the point light script and particle script was created by Uranium. Give this map plenty of time to load. If you have problems loading this map when playing or hosting simply unzip the vl2 file with WinZip into your base folder.
MAP OBJECTIVE: Its quite simple really, destroying a gen in one of the bridge houses will lower that side of the bridges defenses as well as one switch room field. The gens are located in the lowest rooms of the bridge houses. Getting to them will not be easy since most entrances are secured with fields that are powered by a panel. This will buy time for the defending team so that they can get to both bridge houses and set up additional defenses. Oh yeah, stay clear of those trees too when in a vehicle or you may find yourself getting stuck in the bark. I hope you all enjoy this as much as Compromise Line. Sorry about no BOT support for this map too. For some strange reason those damn BOTs get half way down the bridge and then base jump over the side. But I am working of a fix for both this map and CL that should be out soon. Also, expect more to come from me here real soon (since I am still jobless).

I loved the style of the dropships, at least on the outside. The interiors seemed a bit rushed (mostly just in terms of texturing though. In dropship #2, in the teleport room, you have a null texture on a wall near the hallway, you might want to fix that, you can see right through the base. The vehicle bays themselves were a bit weird with that one texture everywhere).
The terrain is a pleasure to run around on and take in visually, and the bridge, is, of course, a spectacular sight.
Nice effects with the point-light entities, and the particles in general around the dropship (you do a great job making sure there are plenty of interesting particle effects around in your maps, something many people don't)
Anyway, keep up the good work.

does not even get to the loading screen, and I waited for about 10 minutes. My comp just lockes up everytime I try. I even tried to delet some files in the vl2 to see if it would load faster, like the .spn, and the sky textures, JUST to see if it would load. But I just wont work for me. Could be me, but all other maps load. So I'm beat on that. Like before, looks awsome, But my comp just can't handle it I guess. Sorry. I'll just give a A+ down here for the WC skill, and the textures. Sorry.

For some strange reason ( I won't point fingers,,,,,,,,,,,) these "vl2" files don't quite work as well as the game masters had planned. Sinple unzip the vl2 using WinZip into your base folder will correct the load issue. All sub folder paths are set so that they will not interfear with any other custom work you may have loaded. UNZIP IT BABY!

Well it's as smooth as the others. And I had the GFX up alittle to. God How I love that bridge you built. Drop ships are great, and I LOVE the little platforms you made for the trees. Everything worked great, did'nt find any problems, I did not see a texture bug anywhere, but I could have missed it. Anyway the map was made great, playes great, feels great. So download it people!! =)

It will have two vehicle bays able to build all the range of vehicle support. You will see it in my next maps to come here real soon.

I don't expect any Cs maps I made or make to ever get played at all. In fact, I think I am just making Cs maps now with custom interiors simply because I'm bored and don't have anything better to do, and because I love doing it. I have no intentions that you, your mother, your friends or your friends mothers will even want to play these maps. I do it cause I love to do it. I love to poor my dreams and sick thoughts out through map and interior designs, not just for T1 or T2 but for many other games as well. I also find it nice to share what I have created with others who are interested. If your not interested then don't bother taking part in my creations, simply walk away. I never said I was an expert at making Siege maps or any other game type maps or even maps for that matter. You probably could make a much better Siege map in your sleep DSEZKiller. However, thanks for the tips and next time I make a Siege map (which will never get played) I will take your recommendations into consideration and try and make a better product. Also, if you think this map is so bad then why didn’t you give it an F? I’m not one of those mappers who cries every time some one gives my maps a low score. I would have given it an F based on the limitations of the Torque engine alone. Oh well, can’t please them all.
