The Sewer is the largest maze ever created for T2. It encompasses 4 levels of 6 by 6 segments, with many passages blocked off by forcefields. The switch is located on the bottom level (both teams spawn up top). And to make it slightly more interesting, the lower levels are initially flooded with water.
There are a total of 9 objectives, each one when destroyed is down for good. There are backdoor routes to each objective. The only generator which must be destroyed is the switch access generator. The forcefield generators take down forcefields blocking passages on each level, the level access generators remove forcefields denying entrance to lower levels, and the water generators lower the level of the water to allow freer movement through those levels. In pub play, players will have fun spreading out to attack/defend objectives for many different routes. In competition, teams will learn to work together to hit the most vital objectives at the right time.
This map is one of 5 new siege maps coming out as my gift to the T2 community. Enjoy. And don't worry about becoming lost, everybody does until they figure it out for themselves ;P
***Note: Due to the complexity of the map, the first time it loads you will experience a normal 1-2 min. delay. This only occurs the first time you load the map.

Hmmmm... Releasing many many
by Iczer3 on January 24, 2002 Permalink · Rating:Hmmmm... Releasing many many maps at the same time.... Seems familiar, but yours definately have some cool ideas! Sewers! In a Seige map! Nifty!
Well.. all of your maps have
by Alundra on January 25, 2002 Permalink · Rating:Well.. all of your maps have neat ideas, and are really fun to play on with, which is a very cool thing, because if people would realize the importance of all maps and tribes 2, is to have fun. So things that are old and boring that are bent on gameplay are stupid. Which would bring me into another subject in the fourms but nvm about that. As far as your map goes its very creative, and fun. Yet as far as gameplay goes it highly lacks, the fps is major, and there are alot of hard gens to destroy. All I can say is don't hope to much to get this on a pub.
Not bad. Takes a little
by Star on January 25, 2002 Permalink · Rating:Not bad. Takes a little longer than I'd like to reach the gens but I was in medium so that's my fault. The extremely murky water is appropriate as is the thick fog. I like the ideas that went along with the water level gens and the messages you get when you destroy any gens. I found the Attackers' solar panel amusing since it was suspended in mid-water about 250m below the surface. It's amazing that thing collects any power ;)
I'm agreeing with Star, this
by Iczer3 on January 28, 2002 Permalink · Rating:I'm agreeing with Star, this thing is a tad too complex for most and takes quite some time even for the defenders to reach the lower gens... Cool idea, but because stations are so few and far between the defenders will want to take a remote station with them to the lower levels. It runs very well with FPS too. One small other note: if you are a heavy armor that falls into the water, start walking... No way you'll be able to jet up to the surface from the bottom of the lake thingie.
Well I really wasnt too fond
by SiliconSamurai on January 29, 2002 Permalink · Rating:Well I really wasnt too fond of this map when testing it, you could go the whole map without seeing an enemy, and its just as hard for the defense to find the gens as it is for offense.
Having said that this map has grown on me and is quite fun with a number of players on it. Some nice scripting, gens cannot be repaired, hud waypoints disappear as the gens are taken down, lowering the water level adds an interesting dynamic to your weapon loadout. This map has alot of great ideas, but I feel like a rat in a maze. I am sure that was your intent though.
