Capture the Flag Volcanic Foggy Night
This update to Version 1.1 has several changes and additions made to it. 1. The 3 sentry turrets by the flags have been removed, the top 2 still remain though. 2. Fog has gotten just a little bit thicker. :) 3. Added an extra sound to map, though, it shouldn't be too annoying. :) 4. Cleaned up command view of each teams objects. Numbers removed and double words removed. 5. Load up shot now at 58kb instead of over 1MB. 6. Added 2 more observer view points, they are looking at the flags. 7. I finally got bright enough ScreenShot's. :) I think that was it, should be even better now, I hope. :) Thanks to all for those great grades and reviews, look for another map by me real soon. :) I hope it's just as good as this one.

much as i personally like
by left on May 28, 2001 Permalink · Rating:much as i personally like this map, i would not recommend it for public play, assuming the teams are evenly-matched and are a mix of walk-ins and experienced lone wolves who can't really coordinate a really superb offense.
this is a VERY defensive map. i almost NEVER see 0-0 ties under the new scoring system except on this map. makes it a little frustrating for some people.
also, i'm kind of miffed that there's no way to deploy the MPB, unless you are lucky in 4x4'ing it off the bridge at the enemy's base - there's no other place to deploy it. either a provision should be made (a ramp?) for deploying the MPB or it should be removed from the map altogether, IMO.
a capturable objective in the central tower would probably make it a lot more pub-friendly. i'd be willing to test out such a modification, actually. ;)
in the meantime, i am going to take it out of rotation until the next update is released. maybe leave it on for scrims and clan practices, since *IF* a team is coordinated, this map can be fun.
