Capture the Flag Defend and Destroy Volcanic Foggy Bots Night
Large dual gametype map, CTF and DnD. Capturable center objective "The Faukon" holds the only vehicle station. Heavily scripted Bot support code by Lagg_Alot.
Some gameplay altering scripting was done. You can dumbfire the Missile Launcher and it does not lock onto players, but the turret does. You can undeploy deployables simply by walking up to one, looking at it and pressing your pack key. This was put in because maybe you do not like where the bot placed something. The ELF guns range and energy drain was lowered, however it will now do a small amount of damage to the target, like it does in the original Tribes game.
The bots will do everything a player will, deploy turrets, sensors, even shoot missiles!
All scripting is activated via the Map Support Pack v2 by Founder, myself and TseTse. You can choose to not run any of the scripting by setting $Host::AllowMapScript = 0; in your ServerPrefs.cs file. Be warned however, if you choose to disable scripting and are running bots enabled there will be a lot of console spam due to the bots requiring Lagg_Alots code to be running. But if you are not running bots all will be smooth as silk.
This map will work with base and Classic servers. It has not been tested on heavily modded servers, but as said above you can disable all scripting.

by kLUMSY bOT on April 21, 2004 Permalink · Rating:Beautiful. truly amazing. but something didnt seem right. those bots owned (although they had a tendancy to walk through the lava, and they were unharmed) but something felt like it was missing. A load screen would have been nice, although i understand it is a ss map. The wasteland with dead trees was good, and the sounds of the map were well used. The lag was a slight problem, although this is probably from the bots. I had teh feeling there were just a few too many buildings.... but i guess they served your purpose anyway. Nice map, and well thaught out.
Great map, but with 1 problem

Whenever i would play this map, it would like to spawn me in the lava :( And as mentioned below the bots walked in the lava and didn't get hurt. I was spawned once in the lava at the start of the match and so was 2 of my other bot teammates. I died and they just walk out unharmed :( Besides that this is a great map with great bots.
