Howl of the Yeti by Lexor on August 10, 2001

Capture and Hold Capture the Flag Other Storming

The Bioderms invented a system to absorb the power right from
a planet's life systems. This planet used to be a lush forest,
and now look at the carnage.

But this machinery has a reverse switch.

Control the Planetsucker complex and you can save this planet!

Howl of the Yeti is a "melee" CTF and CnH map, with both teams' bases very close together, and surrounding a center objective building.

The map was inspired by the amazing colours and sharpness of my new Samsung 570V TFT display.

Thanks to clan +|TBF|+ for testing.

A Cold Day in Hell by Mercen4ry on August 10, 2001

Capture the Flag Other Snowing

Welcome to Hell during the worst blizzard of all time. Set close to the ground, the agonized cries of the fallen can be heard over the blizzard. not to mention seen in the lava pools. The bridges are connected to a center tower, which can be used as cover or as a place to recharge. Good Luck. (This will probably be one of my last maps, if it goes over as well as my others :| )

Mare Imbrium by Hecubus70 on August 9, 2001

Capture the Flag Other Storming Client Side

Named after an impact crater on the surface of the moon, Mare Imbrium is a fairly simple battlegroud, but an incredibly harsh environment. The teams are placed at the edges of a huge impact crater. Meteors continue to pummel the surface of the planet at a much too constant rate. In the center of the map rests the huge rock that caused the crater--it's electromagnetic energy forcing discharges of lighting to strike the surface of the meteorite. A strange mist surrounds the giant rock while the only repair pack on the entire map is located atop it's hazardous peak. Approach it if you dare.

Capture the Flag Other Foggy Client Side

The Switch Base has both teams flag force field generators in it. Although capping is possible without control of the switch, it is much more difficult. Skiing is possible on top of the towers as they are almost all dished on top. I spent much more time on this map than my others, hope you enjoy it.

Capture the Flag Other Clear Bots Client Side Night

Get ready to sell your soul to Diablo! This map is centered on the underworld where Tribes players begin to understand the meaning of pain. Diablo has been kind enough to allow us to experience this place of pain first hand. He’s given us small bases to fight from and a center objective where your team can join with him and dominate the field. The flags are nicely located on the other side of a large daemon pool from your base in a circle of sacrifice. There you will see what happens to players who try and take the enemy flag.

Polar Dip by [HvC]Scuba on July 30, 2001

Capture the Flag Other Clear

Due to the unfortunate use of nuclear weapons in an attempt to clear this planet, a shift in the poles has occured. The rising water is just one of the things you have to contend with, enemy forces are another.

** Scripted to allow the water to rise over the course of the mission, just place the .vl2 in your base folder.

Quiescence by Hecubus70 on July 27, 2001

Capture the Flag Other Snowing Client Side

Quiescence (dormant), is a map designed around a large, single volcano in the center of the map. Skiing is encouraged, as the map is generally designed to allow as much on every side of the volcano. The peak is dormant, so no lava is present. However, if you happen to fall through the maw of the volcano, it will a bit of work to get back out, making you an easy target for a time. Generators are located far from the bases, so protecting them will be a priority. This is a simple map, designed to be fast and furious--big enough for 64 players, but just as fun with 32.

Erebus by Dave "Diamondback" Meddish on July 24, 2001

Capture the Flag Other Clear Client Side Night

The map custom made for UVALAN 3, "Erebus" is a uniquely terrained map that combines the game mechanics of Desiccator and the fast-paced gameplay of Katabatic. It's been spiffed up and polished a bit since UVALAN for improved gameplay.

And, hey, with a name like Meddish, it has to be good :-)

Space Balls by Kristov on July 24, 2001

Capture the Flag Other Clear

Space...where you can see almost forever..and gravity is low...

2 Bases, mining an asteroid field on the event horizon of a black hole...4 smaller 'ships' that contain the only repair packs on the map.
And lets not forget..the asteroids themselves. Randomly generated and placed each time the map is started(requires the 2 cs files in the vl2 to be extracted per the readme_spaceballs.txt file included in the vl2, I think, Zear created them, so I'm not sure the server needs them or not, so read it!). This feature DOES impact gameplay, and makes the map fun.

Elmo T2 Arena Standard Mappack by FlyingElmo on July 23, 2001

Arena Other Clear Bots Client Side

Shoutout to all the rabid arena players ;)
Contained in this pack are 14 maps engineered specifically for T2 arena.
Each have been play tested and will hopefully be to your liking. The focus
for these maps was to create standard arena gameplay, ie nothing which would
disgruntle ladders or hardcore players greatly. Each has also been designed
with fps in mind, and players should experience smoother gameplay compared to
CTF. This pack also contains a variety of maps...with the intention being to
get away from the 2-map T1 rotation so many of us are familiar with.
